HIV/AIDS Considered “Severe Epidemic” in DC

At first glance this would appear normal; however, according to health officials, 1% constitutes a “generalized and severe” epidemic. In comparison, 1992 San Francisco reported that 4% of the population was HIV positive. You can read the whole story, here.
